One of the UK’s leading specialist education providers, Hartpury University and College engaged Cobus in the design and delivery of a state-of-the-art sports and science centre.
We collaborated closely with Hartpury’s department heads ensuring the facility effectively served both the performance needs of elite athletes, including specialist strength and conditioning, biomechanics and sports therapy, and the needs of the institution’s academic staff.
In high-use areas, layouts were optimised for sightlines, movement flow, and safety, with all spaces designed flexibly to accommodate athletes’ and academics’ future needs. Using our integrated design expertise, we employed high-performance finishes, and materials combining durability and aesthetics to create a world-class learning and performance environment. We also specified inspiring, contemporary interiors for workshops and recovery spaces.
Upon its successful completion, the centre seamlessly merged science, sport and education, reinforces Hartpury’s reputation as a leader in sports education and innovation.
