UWC Atlantic College

This project was delivered within newly constructed buildings situated on the 12th Century St Donat’s Castle campus site. The buildings’ architectural design mirrored the Welsh Long House to remain in-keeping with their historical surroundings. Inside however, the furniture reflected a college with a modern, innovative outlook, providing multiple areas for collaboration and private study, in addition to the dormitories. The client’s goal was to reimagine the traditional boarding experience, replacing it with a more homely and welcoming feel.

Working under pressure to meet a tight January deadline, the project’s success was dependent on our team’s ability to work quickly and flexibly, and on ensuring clear, timely client communication. The install included bespoke fitted furniture to 24, four-bed dormitories, quiet study rooms and loose soft furniture to the kitchen lounge and day rooms.
