Cobus was invited to collaborate with the market-leading Healthcare Group in a CAT B fit out of their new 10,000 sq ft Cambridge building, at the time configured as a traditional office space.
The new patient-focused site, designed in partnership with the NHS, would provide rehabilitation care in specialist areas including orthotics, prosthetics, and wheelchairs.
The discovery phase is a key priority for us at Cobus, where we invest considerable time understanding the needs of the space’s users. This complex brief required that the premises meet a variety of need-states, including collaborative workshop spaces, standard workstations, and clinics where physicians could work alongside their patients.
Upon completion the ground and first floor hosted the patient area, incorporating a physio / gym space alongside the paediatric and prosthetic consulting rooms. It was a privilege to engage with such important and purposeful work, and a refurbishment that demanded a wide variety of skills and experience of our multi-disciplinary team.
