New Office Design & Fit-Out

Dyball Associates, an energy market consultancy and software company based in Worcester, selected Cobus to carry out the redesign and fit-out of their new offices in Attwood House early in 2019. The company had outgrown their current office space and were in need of a new premises that could accommodate and inspire their workforce.

The Cobus design team worked closely with the customer to build on their ideas for the space and create a design tailored to their vision and company values. We received a fairly open brief which allowed our interior designer, Jess, to explore different design trends and schemes. One concept Dyball did want to include in the design was the incorporation of their company brand colours and some bright feature walls.

The design team produced moodboards to help with furniture specification and fabrics and finishes selection, 2D floor plans and 3D visuals. We also designed bespoke glazing manifestations to create a unique feel to the space.

The fit-out began in September 2019 and lasted 6 weeks. The empty offices were the perfect blank canvas for the Cobus installation team and contractors to transform.

We created a separate kitchen and breakout space on the 1st floor by installing partition walls and floor to ceiling glass and a smaller kitchen area on the 2nd floor which, rather than install more partition walls and close off the space, was defined by the wood effect flooring. Both areas received new kitchens, flooring, decoration and furniture which included Cobus’ own brand Poiz high tables and Frovi Ego stools and Era chairs.

The open plan offices on both floors were fitted out with Cobus Pitch bench desking systems and task seating with sofas and soft seating for the chill out areas. Senator Kyos meeting chairs and Orangebox Workday swivel chairs were used in the meeting and board rooms to establish a professional yet comfortable space.

The new reception desk, soft seating and Dyball wall graphics created a warm and welcome waiting area for their visitors and customers.

There were a few small challenges involving the plumbing systems however these were resolved quickly, and a new plan of action implemented to eliminate any impact on the work schedule.

Chloe, the Cobus project manager overseeing the fit-out, coordinated the installation team and contractors, including electricians and plumbers, throughout the project to ensure timescales were met and the customer was satisfied. We were very pleased with the finished look.
