ActicareDesign & Fit-Out
We recently worked on a project with Acticare, a leading provider of care home essentials. We were tasked with designing and producing the office and other staff spaces in their new, purpose-built premises in Hereford. These included a reception and visitors’ area, meeting and collaboration spaces, kitchenettes and canteens, washrooms and private and open plan offices.
Acticare approached us with a clear goal and set budget in mind, involving us at the very early stages of the project. Their plans for expansion required that they move out of their premises of 8 years and so our design team had to ensure the new plans allowed for their projected growth. They had lots of ideas and specific furniture pieces in mind which the designers could take and offer suitable, quality alternatives that fit in with their budget.
During the design stage we wanted to futher assist Acticare with their furniture selection process so decided to take them with us to the Clerkenwell showroom to show them all of their different options.
The installations team were onsite for 4 weeks fitting the new Chemistry desking, railway carriage pod, Torasen storage wall and various seating options including the incredibly comfortable Brummel sofas. We continued to work closely with Acticare during the installation to make certain they were happy with their spaces as they were beginning to take shape and to provide them with regular updates on progress.
We did encounter a few challenges on this project, creating the colour coordination being one of the more difficult tasks. We also had to design in accordance with the architect’s plan which proved challenging on a few occasions however we did receive very positive feedback and the client loves the finished product!
